"A spectacular Labor Day weekend! Beautiful flowers everywhere, libations under the stars, the warmth of friendship under the outdoor candelabra. Thank you for all the wonderful memories. Looking forward to many more in the future. Here's to Margaret's lovely Lakeside, cozy cottage!"

Loved the chance to stay at your cute cottage and a chance to live the simple Harbor Country life! A real treat to leisurely water the garden in the morning listening to the birds. Will enjoy more leisurely days this summer. Maybe a warm evening fire too. Thank you.

Margaret, it was such a lovely weekend of garage sales and reading in the garden, with a few blackberries thrown in. Can’t believe they grow right here in your yard.

"We started the initiation of spring with a wonderful glass of vino. We took a walk in the garden, paying attention to the lovely song birds dancing between the window boxes and the branches of the oak trees. We picked daffodils. We put them in a vase on the kitchen window sill—a delightful warm touch to the cozy interior. We ten toured the art galleries in the area and ended up at the quaint movie theater, the Vickers, in downtown Three Oaks. Thank you Margaret, for this beautiful beginning to spring!

The Hamptons of the Midwest
"If you want to avoid Florida's crowds and still experience the sights and sounds of an
ocean-like body of water, Harbor Country in Southwest Michigan is a perfect northern getaway,
both in and out of season. Harbor Country has been variously described as 'the Hamptons of
the Midwest' and 'the Riviera of Lake Michigan,' yet the area has maintained its rustic
origins, recalling the more prosperous era of the 1920's and 1930's.
You won't find fast-food havens along the Red Arrow Highway (rambling from Union Pier to
Sawyer between Lake Michigan and the Interstate) - just cafes, barbeque stands, roadhouses,
cozy antique-filled hideaways, beaches and woods.
